Job Objective

The Logistics Assistant Supervisor oversees and manages drivers, dispatchers, and mechanics in the Logistic Supervisor’s absence and supports the Logistics Supervisor in all areas as needed.

Essential Functions

Financial

• Supervises staff and resources with integrity and fiscal accountability.
• Supports Logistics Supervisor in recording purchase orders, including dates, parts, vehicles, and vendors.

People

• Helps ensure adequate staffing levels for logistics including dispatchers, drivers, and mechanics. Assists in hiring as needed.
• Prepares and administers corrective actions and disciplinary notices as per TSA Policy.
• Forwards employment documents to the Logistics Supervisor.
• Supports a positive, diverse team environment.
• Ensures drivers are trained in vehicle pre-trip and post-trip procedures and report issues.

Logistics

• Supervises donation pick-ups and store deliveries.
• Coordinates purchasing supplies and vehicle services, following policies.
• Works with vendors for repairs to ensure efficiency.
• Checks and replaces tires to prevent accidents.

Property & Equipment

• Ensures warehouse and garage comply with OSHA and TSA policies.
• Updates inventory regularly.
• Reports equipment damage and takes disciplinary action if needed.
• Coordinates repairs with the Safety Coordinator to meet DOT requirements.

Program

• Works with ARC Director for Rehabilitation Services to supervise and train beneficiaries.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
