Location: RemoteAnnual Salary: $95,000Experience Level: Mid-Senior LevelEmployment Type: Full-Time

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Logistics and Supply Chain Intelligence Analyst to identify, assess, and communicate risks that may affect global logistics operations, transportation networks, shipments, and critical facilities.

This role is responsible for monitoring risk intelligence platforms, analyzing operational and external data, identifying emerging threats, and producing actionable intelligence to support timely decision-making and supply chain resilience. The successful candidate will translate complex, fragmented information into clear risk assessments, operational recommendations, and executive-ready reporting.

The ideal candidate combines experience in intelligence analysis, supply chain risk, transportation operations, or corporate security with strong communication skills, sound analytical judgment, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast‑paced, high‑tempo environment.

The analyst will collaborate closely with logistics, transportation, procurement, operations, security, Global Security Operations Center (GSOC), and crisis-management stakeholders. Experience using AI-enabled analytical tools to improve research, reporting, and workflow efficiency is highly desirable.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Monitor risk intelligence platforms, including Everstream and Cargo Signal, to identify threats, disruptions, and anomalies affecting shipments, transportation lanes, ports, terminals, carrier networks, distribution nodes, and facilities.

  • Identify and escape high-impact events that could affect service continuity, shipment integrity, facility operations, carrier performance, or customer commitments.

  • Analyze information from security audits, incident reports, carrier scorecards, operational dashboards, exception data, and vendor intelligence to identify trends, vulnerabilities, and systemic risks.

  • Assess transportation and supply chain threats, including severe weather, natural disasters, cargo theft, civil unrest, labor actions, port congestion, infrastructure disruptions, geopolitical developments, cyber-related operational impacts, and carrier instability.

  • Produce timely, accurate, and actionable intelligence products for logistics, operations, security, and leadership stakeholders.

  • Manage the intelligence cycle, including information collection, collation, evaluation, analysis, production, dissemination, and feedback.

  • Develop dashboards, recurring reports, executive summaries, and risk indicators that communicate shipment exposure, facility vulnerabilities, disruption trends, and mitigation priorities.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to maintain shared situational awareness and support coordinated risk‑management decisions.

  • Support incident response and disruption management through concise intelligence updates, escalation notes, and operational impact assessments.

  • Develop transportation lane, logistics node, and facility‑specific threat assessments to support routing decisions, seasonal risk reviews, operational planning, and business continuity.

  • Identify opportunities to improve alert triage, analytical workflows, reporting standards, data synthesis, and supply chain risk intelligence processes.

  • Maintain high standards of analytical quality through source validation, peer review, critical evaluation, and clear communication of assumptions, confidence levels, and potential operational impacts.

  • Apply approved AI‑enabled tools, including generative AI and agentic systems, to improve research, information synthesis, drafting, and workflow efficiency while maintaining human oversight, validation, and appropriate data‑handling practices.

  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders in a fast‑paced, embedded operating environment, building trusted relationships and delivering actionable insights under tight deadlines.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in intelligence, supply chain management, logistics, transportation, security studies, business analytics, international affairs, or a related field; equivalent professional experience may be considered.

  • Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in intelligence analysis, logistics analysis, supply chain risk, transportation operations, GSOC, corporate security, military intelligence, customs, law enforcement, commercial intelligence, or a closely related analytical discipline.

  • Demonstrated experience assessing risks affecting shipments, transportation lanes, facilities, distribution networks, or broader supply chain operations.

  • Experience synthesizing multiple operational and external information sources into actionable analysis, disruption reporting, and decision support.

  • Experience collaborating with stakeholders across logistics, operations, security, transportation, or related business functions.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and time-sensitive escalations in a fast‑paced environment.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong research, analytical, and critical‑thinking skills, including the ability to synthesize fragmented information into clear judgments and practical recommendations.

  • Working knowledge of supply chain and logistics operations, including shipment visibility, transportation lanes, distribution nodes, facilities, route disruptions, carrier performance, exception management, and service risk.

  • Ability to monitor and interpret intelligence from platforms such as Everstream, Cargo Signal, and comparable risk‑visibility, shipment‑tracking, and event‑monitoring tools.

  • Experience analyzing incident reports, security audits, vendor intelligence, carrier performance metrics, and operational dashboards to identify patterns and emerging risks.

  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, including the ability to brief operational teams and senior leadership.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, spreadsheets, reporting tools, presentations, and data visualization or dashboard‑support workflows.

  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

  • Sound professional judgment, discretion, and the ability to communicate and escalate material risks promptly.

  • Understanding of AI‑enabled analytical tools, including the capabilities and limitations of large language models, the importance of source verification, human review, and the responsible handling of sensitive or proprietary information.

Preferred Qualifications

Candidates with the following experience or attributes will receive additional consideration:

  • Experience as an embedded analyst supporting a corporate headquarters, logistics function, operations center, or corporate security program.

  • Experience supporting headquarters‑based or client‑facing operations, with the ability to work closely with stakeholders and maintain strong day‑to‑day working relationships.

  • Excellent interpersonal communication and collaborative problem‑solving skills suited to a fast‑paced, stakeholder‑intensive environment.

  • Experience using multiple large language models (LLMs) to accelerate research, drafting, summarization, and analytical deliverable development.

  • Familiarity with generative AI and agentic workflows, including the ability to identify appropriate use‑cases and recognize limitations in accuracy, context, reasoning, and information synthesis.

  • Experience with AI‑enhanced tool development, low‑code experimentation, workflow prototyping, or “vibe coding” to improve internal processes or augment existing tools.

  • Experience in a fusion center, GSOC, transportation security, customs, supply chain security, or commercial risk intelligence environment.

  • International experience and demonstrated cultural awareness and sensitivity.
