Job summary

Global Partners LP is seeking a Logistics and Optimization Analyst to join the Supply and Distribution team in Massachusetts. The role focuses on truck-based product movement, tank level monitoring, and optimizing delivery costs using Insight360 and future optimization software.

You will forecast, schedule, and optimize deliveries, coordinate with haulers, track supplier volumes, and support accounting with pricing and invoicing details. Some travel is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent knowledge.
• Experience with logistics and delivery optimization preferred.
• Strong math and analytical skills required.
• Proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel (pivot tables).
• Excellent written and verbal communication and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Forecast, schedule and optimize deliveries to accounts.
• Coordinate with haulers on delivery issues.
• Track contract volume requirements with suppliers and manage supply accordingly.
• Experience with software systems used by team (PDI, Smartbuy, Axxis, Insite 360, etc.).
• Manage exceptions to pricing logistics (TVAs, hauler changes, site setup).
• Coordinate deliveries requiring credit approval with the Credit Department.
• Assist accounting with pricing or delivery issues (BOLS, invoices, freight rates).
• Support delivery issues involving haulers and sales staff.
• Be available for after-hours or weekend supply or hauling issues.

Job description

The Logistics and Optimization Analyst will be a critical part of the Supply and Distribution team, reporting to the Director of Trucking Operations. In this role you will be responsible for the movement of product by truck including maintaining tank levels by use of Insight360 or other such tank monitoring system. You will work within the team to identify the lowest delivered cost given all supply cost and possible delivery scenarios. Over time, the position will expand to use optimization software, ensuring the best buying decision for the greatest financial performance. Additionally, the Optimization desk will oversee inventory management and load building from the trucking companies.

Your Role, Your Impact

• Responsive to changing priorities, comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously

• Some travel between Global office locations.

Pay Range

$63,300.00 - $88,600.00

The pay range for this position is outlined above. The final amount offered at the start of employment is determined based on factors including, but not limited to, experience level, knowledge, skills, abilities and geographic location, and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance and market factors.
