Position Overview

This role is more than just dispatching; it's a leadership position for someone ready to own daily delivery operations. Responsibilities include coordinating ready mix concrete deliveries, communicating with drivers and customers, and supporting the dispatch team. Collaborate closely with plant managers and field crews to ensure smooth operations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Schedule and dispatch ready mix trucks based on daily orders and timelines.
2. Monitor fleet activity using dispatch and GPS systems.
3. Communicate with drivers, plant personnel, and customers to coordinate jobs.
4. Respond to traffic, weather, or jobsite changes in real-time.
5. Oversee team performance and streamline operations.
6. Train and support dispatch team members.
7. Coordinate with plant and fleet managers for efficiency.
8. Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and safety policies.
9. Maintain accurate logs, delivery records, and customer communication.

Qualifications

• 3+ years dispatch experience in ready mix, construction materials, or logistics.
• Strong understanding of concrete delivery logistics, plant operations, and truck scheduling.
• Proven leadership or support experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with dispatch software and GPS systems (e.g., Command Alkon, Jonel).
• Excellent communication skills, professional and calm under pressure.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations, driver hours, and safety compliance.
• Detail-oriented with organizational and multitasking skills.
• Basic computer skills (email, spreadsheets, data entry).
• High school diploma or GED; additional technical training is a plus.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a bonus.

Additional Details

Salary: From $55,000/year.
