Job summary

The J. M. Smucker Co. in Orrville, OH seeks an Analyst, Logistics to maintain transportation partners and manage material deliveries on a 100% onsite basis.

You will analyze warehouse capacity, support production planning, and lead system users while coordinating with 3rd party service providers, Corporate Planning, QA and Purchasing to improve efficiency and reduce costs. This role emphasizes data-driven decisions and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; logistics or supply chain experience preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze data and solve problems with attention to detail.
• Strong organization and time management skills; effective communication abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with Oracle or supply planning systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and/or set-up transportation service companies to deliver materials or pick up finished goods.
• Develop and implement cost reduction and process improvement projects with key business partners; collaborate with 3rd party service providers, Corporate Planning, Corporate Transportation, QA, Manufacturing and Purchasing.
• Manage delivery and receiving of raw materials based on production schedules and priorities.
• Analyze and prioritize warehouse capacity to optimize efficiencies.
• Serve as System Super User and train others on transactions.
• Oversee outbound logistics results and address gaps with root-cause countermeasures.
• Monitor 3rd Party Service Providers, carriers, and warehouses to ensure on-time delivery.
• Learn Production Planning or replenishment aspects for customers.
