Orbis Inc. seeks a Logistics Analyst to work on site at the Naval Weapons Station, Yorktown, VA, supporting our RADIAC and RADCON Professional Services contract.

The role develops, reviews, and maintains logistics and data products for the acquisition and life-cycle support of radiation detection instruments and systems fielded to US Navy ships and shore activities. Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Navy logistics databases such as OTS, WEBFLIS, JETDAS, ILIT, Haystack, FEDLOG, PARTS, NDE, ASSIST, MBPS.
  • Experience with DoD Integrated Product Support (IPS) Elements.
  • Experience with CDMD-OA and/or MBPS.
  • DAWIA/DAU certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Review and edit DoD acquisition and logistics documentation (CDRLs, SOWs, Drawings, and TMs) required for RADIAC equipment.
  • Create military nomenclatures utilizing the JETDAS database.
  • Interact with the Navy Provisioning Process to include creating ICAPS packages for NSNs, AELs, and APLs.
  • Assist in maintenance planning efforts to include the development and update of PMS requirements, MRC and MIP.
  • Maintain and update logistics related data in government databases and document repositories. (CMPro experience is a plus.)
  • Develop and update MS PowerPoint presentations and manipulate data in MS Excel.
  • Support the Training Development process including the Navy Training Systems Plan (NTSP) and subordinate documents.
  • Take meeting minutes and action items; provide input to monthly and quarterly government reports.
  • Assist in monitoring and evaluating trends and performance of the asset management system to provide recommendations for actions and changes.

Job Description:


Orbis is seeking a Logistics Analyst to work on site at the Naval Weapons Station, Yorktown, Va, in support of our RADIAC and RADCON Professional Services contract. The Logistics Analyst will provide support in developing, reviewing, and maintaining logistics and data products in support of the acquisition and product life cycle support management of installed and portable radiation detection instruments and systems fielded to US Navy Ships and Shore Activities.


Tasks include:


  • Review and edit DoD acquisition and logistics documentation (CDRLs, SOWs, Drawings, and TMs) required for RADIAC equipment.

  • Create military nomenclatures utilizing the Joint Electronics Type Designation Automated System (JETDAS) database.

  • Interact with the Navy Provisioning Process to include creating Interactive Computer Aided Provisioning System (ICAPS) packages for National Stock Numbers (NSNs), Allowance Equipage Lists (AELs), and Allowance Parts Lists (APL).

  • Assist in maintenance planning efforts to include the development and update of Navy Planned Maintenance System (PMS) requirements, Maintenance Requirement Cards (MRC) and Maintenance Index Pages (MIP).

  • Maintain and update logistics related data in various government databases and document repositories. (CMPro experience is a plus.)

  • Develop and update MS PowerPoint presentations and manipulate data in MS Excel.

  • Supporting the Training Development process to include the development of the Program’s Navy Training Systems Plan (NTSP), and its subordinate documents.

  • Take meeting minutes and action items; provide input to various monthly and quarterly government reports.

  • Assist in monitoring and evaluating the trends and performance of the asset management system to provide recommendations for actions and changes to related processes based on observed data.


Required Skills and Experiences:


  • Familiarity with Navy logistics databases such as: OTS, WEBFLIS, JETDAS, ILIT, Haystack, FEDLOG, PARTS, NDE, ASSIST, MBPS etc.

  • Familiar with the DoD Integrated Product Support (IPS) Elements.

  • Experience with CDMD-OA and/or MBPS.

  • DAWIA/DAU certifications.


Degree Requirements:

Bachelors in logistics related field of study desired.



  • Must be a U.S. citizen

  • A secret security clearance
