Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • 2+ years in logistics, transportation, or analytics.
  • Advanced Excel or Google Sheets with pivot tables and lookups.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented with ability to investigate discrepancies.
  • Experience with Power BI/Tableau/SQL/Python is a plus.
  • Experience with parcel carriers or 3PL is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze client postage spend, shipping methods, carrier mix, and transportation costs.
  • Reconcile carrier invoices against shipment and postage data.
  • Audit postage billing for rate, weight, dimensional, accessorial, and other adjustments.
  • Track and manage carrier claims, credits, disputes, and refunds.
  • Analyze carrier rate increases, surcharges, and pricing changes and quantify their financial impact.
  • Identify cost-saving and transportation optimization opportunities.
  • Monitor carrier utilization, cost, service levels, and shipment performance.
  • Build and maintain carrier and client postage scorecards.
  • Analyze rate-shop, rating, routing, and service-selection trends.
  • Investigate unexpected changes in carrier mix or shipment behavior.
  • Validate carrier rates and rate-card changes.
  • Perform client-level postage and shipping analyses.
  • Build baselines around carrier mix, service selection, shipment characteristics, and transportation spend.
  • Identify opportunities to improve client shipping strategies, transportation costs, and service performance.

Parcel Analytics | Postage Auditing | Transportation Optimization Good Company | Springfield, MO

(In-Person) | Full-Time

Pay: $55,000 - $70,000 base DOE

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Logistics Analyst to support our

transportation and parcel operations. This role will focus on postage analysis, carrier billing and

auditing, client shipping performance, and identifying opportunities to improve transportation cost

and efficiency.

The Logistics Analyst will work closely with our Small Parcel team to monitor millions of annual

parcel shipments across national and regional carriers. This is an ideal role for someone who

enjoys working with large datasets, investigating discrepancies, identifying optimization

opportunities, and turning shipping data into actionable recommendations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze client postage spend, shipping methods, carrier mix, and transportation costs
  • Reconcile carrier invoices against shipment and postage data
  • Audit postage billing for rate, weight, dimensional, accessorial, and other adjustments

Client Postage & Optimization
  • Perform client-level postage and shipping analyses
  • Build baselines around carrier mix, service selection, shipment characteristics, andtransportation spend
  • Identify opportunities to improve client shipping strategies, transportation costs, and service performance
  • Analyze package dimensions, weights, packaging utilization, and DIM impacts
  • Identify opportunities for carrier, service, packaging, and routing optimization
  • Support holiday, peak-season, surcharge, and annual rate-change analysis
  • Assist with postage calculators, pricing analysis, and client transportation solutions
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Finance, Business Analytics, Economics, DataAnalytics, or a related field preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, parcel, supply chain, finance, or analyticspreferred
  • Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills, including pivot tables, lookups, formulas, and analysisof large datasets
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • High attention to detail and ability to investigate discrepancies through root cause
  • Comfortable working with large, imperfect financial, operational, and shipment-leveldatasets
  • Ability to translate analysis into clear findings, financial impacts, andrecommendations
  • Ability to communicate findings clearly across Finance, Operations, Account Management, and Technology
  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, BigQuery, SQL, Python, or similar analytical toolspreferred
  • Experience identifying measurable cost savings or optimization opportunities preferred
  • Experience with parcel carriers, TMS/WMS platforms, rate shopping, carrier billing, or 3PL
  • operations is a strong plus
What Success Looks Like

A successful Logistics Analyst will become a trusted analytical resource for understanding what is

driving transportation spend, how carrier and client shipping behavior is changing, and where

opportunities exist to improve cost and performance.

This person will proactively identify trends, discrepancies, and optimization opportunities,

quantify their impact, and work with the broader transportation team to turn those findings into

measurable improvements.

They will be able to quickly answer: What changed? Why did it change? What is the impact? And what

can we do about it?
