American Roll-On Roll-Off Carrier Group (ARC) is hiring a Logistics Analyst to transform logistics and supply chain data into actionable insights. The role focuses on analytics, reporting, and continuous process improvement, leveraging Excel, Power BI, Tableau, and related tools to drive visibility and informed decisions.

The position collaborates across logistics, operations, finance, IT, and external partners, ensuring data quality and timely analytics while supporting execution when needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Entry-level to 2 years of analytics, logistics, or related work.
• Experience using Excel, Power Query, Power BI, Tableau or similar tools to analyze data and create reports.
• Understanding of databases, data modeling, Microsoft Fabric, OneLake, or data lake concepts is a plus.
• Exposure to logistics, transportation, supply chain, maritime, government, or defense-related operations is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Collect, clean, validate, and analyze logistics, transportation, network, and cost data to support operational decision-making.
• Develop dashboards, scorecards, and recurring reports that translate logistics data into clear business intelligence for management and operational teams.
• Build and maintain dashboards using Microsoft analytics tools, including Excel, SharePoint, Power Query, Power BI, Tableau, and related Microsoft 365 resources.
• Support the design, organization, and governance of structured data sources; understanding of Microsoft Fabric. Ability to contribute to building a data lake is considered a plus.
• Track shipment milestones, service performance, supplier activity, cost drivers, and exceptions to identify trends, gaps, and improvement opportunities.
• Prepare concise analysis and executive-ready summaries that explain what data means, why it matters, and what actions should be considered.
• Collaborate with logistics, operations, finance, IT, and external partners to improve data quality, reporting accuracy, and process visibility.
• Support logistics execution as needed by monitoring schedules, exceptions, and performance metrics, while maintaining primary focus on analytics and reporting.
• Assist with supplier performance evaluations, KPI tracking, contract performance tracking, process improvement initiatives, and data-driven recommendations for cost, service, and reliability improvements.

The Logistics Analyst role is focused on transforming logistics, transportation, and supply chain data into actionable intelligence that supports ARC's mission, operations, and decision-making. The position supports the logistics team by collecting, organizing, analyzing, and visualizing operational data to identify trends, improve visibility, and help drive timely, informed decisions.

Working as part of ARC's logistics organization, the Logistics Analyst will use Microsoft analytics tools to convert raw data into dashboards, reports, and insights that improve shipment visibility, network performance tracking, cost analysis, and service quality. While logistics knowledge is important, this role is weighted more heavily toward analytics, reporting, data visualization, and continuous improvement of business processes and systems.

In this role you will:

• Knowledge of Microsoft Fabric, OneLake, or data lake concepts is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain analytical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Basic understanding of logistics, transportation, supply chain, or maritime operations preferred.
