Job summary

Coty is seeking a Logistics Specialist to plan, control, and monitor daily logistics operations in a high‑efficiency environment. You will ensure on-time workload delivery, accuracy in inventory movement, and strong collaboration with internal teams and carriers.

The role emphasizes RF/WMS proficiency, continuous improvement, and strict adherence to safety standards across shifts. This is a full‑time, on‑site position requiring overtime as needed.

Qualifications

  • Requires previous logistics experience and ability to read and follow detailed instructions.
  • Knowledge of logistics operations including replenishment, picking, packing and dock operations in a WMS.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to perform basic statistical analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement inventory movement strategy to meet daily operations plan.
  • Coordinate with Logistics Planner and Coordinators for inventory movement.
  • Maintain accurate inventory locations and 5S practices.
  • Perform daily WMS-based labor and route reporting.
  • Resolve inbound/outbound issues and coordinate with carriers for outbound pickups.
  • Support safety rules and participate in 5S audits.

Full job description SANFORD, NC. COTY is looking for smart leaders who are fast and passionate. With minimal supervision effectively plan, control, maintain, and monitor the daily logistics operation to ensure a high level of operational efficiency, on time delivery of workload to operational areas, and customer satisfaction.

Role Responsibilities
  • Devise and implement efficient and effective inventory movement strategy ensuring execution of the daily operations plan.
  • Inventory movement for future need.
  • Assist with daily plan development and execution.
  • Partner with Logistics Planner and Logistics Coordinators for strategic inventory movement.
  • Inventory location slotting for efficient order flow velocity.
  • Location maintenance for min/max efficiency.
  • Research and correct inventory discrepancies using proper WMS tools.
  • Monitor inventory issues that could lead to potential order shortages using all resources.
  • Maintain inventory location setup accuracy.
  • Resolve item setup/dimension issues as needed.
  • Daily roadmap reporting using WMS tools.
  • Daily labor reporting using WMS tools.
  • Coordinate with internal partners to resolve operational issues.
  • Process refusals and returns.
  • Schedule inbound appointments for finished goods.
  • Track and assist in resolution of shortages and PO issues.
  • Escalate any inbound issues to appropriate parties including internal and external customers.
  • Perform WMS requirements for outbound shipments.
  • Work collaboratively with transportation, security, carriers for outbound pickups.
  • Resolve and/or troubleshoot any issues related to outbound shipments.
  • Coordinate effective use of internal resources.
  • Work with respect to the safety rules and procedures defined by Coty.
  • Maintain excellent safety performance.
  • Perform BOSS audits as required.
  • Perform required 5S duties.

Qualifications
  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Previous logistics experience.
  • Must be able to read and follow detailed instructions and procedures, and effectively communicate in both verbal and written formats.
  • Knowledge and experience of PC.
  • Knowledge of logistics operations is a requirement, including replenishment, product codes, picking, packing, and dock operations (inbound/outbound) in a WMS.
  • Full functional understanding of 5S.
  • Must have good communication skills and aptitude in computer related activities.
  • Training and/or previous experience with automated and/or RF systems.
  • Critical thinking ability required to assess data and performance trends for opportunities and/or improvement.
  • Must be capable of performing basic mathematical equations.
  • Must be capable of performing basic statistical data analysis.
  • Must be able to use root‑cause problem‑solving techniques to resolve operational issues.
  • Must be able to clearly think, communicate, and react in high‑pressure situations.
  • Must be able to successfully multi‑task with challenging assignments.
  • Must be comfortable soliciting and acting on feedback from the operations team.
  • Must be physically able to climb stairs and/or crosswalks on the operations floor.
  • Maintain excellent safety performance.

Position Type / Expected Hours of Work

This is a full‑time position. It requires the ability to work mandatory overtime to meet business needs either within the day and/or the weekend, and the business operates on multiple shifts. The role may require work on holidays.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The work environment could include exposure to varying air temperatures seasonally impacted.

Physical Demands

Light: Requires exertion of up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. Requires 6 or more hours of intermittent standing or walking in an 8‑hour workday. Sitting may be required only intermittently and occasionally. Stooping is usually required occasionally. Duration & repetitive standards: Frequent activity or condition exists more than 1/3 and up to 2/3 of the time equivalent to more than 2.5 hours up to 5.25 hours of an 8‑hour workday or more than 20 minutes and up to 40 minutes each hour.
