Job summary

Foxconn Assembly, LLC is seeking a Logistic Expeditor to ensure timely delivery of materials for uninterrupted production. Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in supply chain, logistics, business, or related field.
  • 1–3 years in materials expediting, logistics coordination, or supply chain operations in manufacturing.
  • Experience with freight forwarders, customs clearance, and international shipments is a strong plus.
  • Contract manufacturing or electronics industry experience is an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and expedite inbound shipments to ensure materials arrive on time to meet production needs.
  • Work with suppliers, freight forwarders, and logistics partners to track and manage delivery schedules.
  • Resolve delays or discrepancies in transit, customs clearance, or receiving.
  • Maintain visibility of in-transit inventory and provide regular updates to planning and production teams.
  • Identify and elevate shortages or bottlenecks to minimize impact on operations.
  • Coordinate with buyers, planners, warehouse, and logistics teams to prioritize urgent shipments.
  • Update ERP systems with shipment status, revised delivery dates, and confirmations.
  • Participate in daily production or supply chain meetings to report on expediting and logistics status.
  • Ensure compliance with shipping documentation, incoterms, and import/export regulations where applicable.
  • Support process improvements in logistics coordination and lead-time reduction.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Summary

The Logistic Expeditor is responsible for ensuring timely delivery of materials to support uninterrupted production operations. This role requires strong coordination with suppliers, logistics providers, and internal teams to resolve delays, track shipments, and manage material flow. A strong background in logistics or supply chain operations is essential, as the role involves frequent interaction with freight forwarders, customs processes, and shipping schedules.

This is a full-time, contract position with the possibility of conversion after a minimum of 6 months.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and expedite inbound shipments to ensure materials arrive on time to meet production needs.
  • Work closely with suppliers, freight forwarders, and logistics partners to track and manage delivery schedules.
  • Resolve delays or discrepancies in transit, customs clearance, or receiving.
  • Maintain visibility of in-transit inventory and provide regular updates to planning and production teams.
  • Identify and elevate critical shortages, delivery risks, or bottlenecks to minimize impact on operations.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders (buyers, planners, warehouse, and logistics teams) to prioritize urgent shipments.
  • Update ERP systems with the latest shipment status, revised delivery dates, and confirmations.
  • Participate in daily production or supply chain meetings to report on expediting and logistics status.
  • Ensure compliance with shipping documentation, incoterms, and import/export regulations where applicable.
  • Support process improvements in logistics coordination and lead-time reduction.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Strong understanding of logistics processes including freight coordination, customs, and shipping terms.
  • Excellent communication and follow‑up skills; comfortable interacting with suppliers and logistics providers.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; ERP system experience (SAP, Oracle, or similar) preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Team player with a proactive, problem‑solving mindset.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Logistics, Business, or related field preferred; Associate degree with relevant experience will be considered.
  • 1–3 years of experience in materials expediting, logistics coordination, or supply chain operations in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working with freight forwarders, customs clearance, and international shipments is a strong plus.
  • Contract manufacturing or electronics industry experience is an advantage.

Pay rate: $32/h - $36/h
Shift opening: Day. Details on work schedule will be discussed during the interview process.
