The Westervelt Company is seeking a Log Handling Operator for our Moundville, AL facility. You will operate the log merchandiser, maintain production flow, perform routine maintenance, and ensure a safe, clean work environment while adhering to lockout procedures and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to lift at least 40 pounds and work from elevated positions with safety gear.
• Willingness to work any shift, including weekends, holidays, or overtime.

Responsibilities

• Operate log merchandiser safely and productively.
• Keep the infeed deck full to maintain production flow.
• Perform routine maintenance and calibrations as needed.
• Identify and communicate operational problems clearly for correction.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Follow lockout procedures and safety standards.
