NAVY EXCHANGE SERVICE COMMAND (NEXCOM) seeks a housekeeping attendant to perform the full range of cleaning tasks at Navy Gateway Inn and Suites and Navy Lodge properties in Newport, Rhode Island. Duties include cleaning guest rooms, corridors, public spaces, laundry rooms, and associated storage areas using vacuum, waxer, and polishing equipment.

Qualifications

• No experience required.
• High School graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Physical requirements include moderate physical effort moving furniture and using cleaning equipment.

Responsibilities

• Cleans guest rooms and assigned areas using cleaning equipment such as vacuum cleaners, carpet cleaners, waxers and polishers.
• Maintains cleanliness of corridors, stairways, and public spaces; reports safety or maintenance issues to supervisor.
• Assists with laundry operations as needed and ensures proper handling of linen and towels.
• Greets guests and maintains privacy and security of rooms at all times.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
