The position involves 24-hour shifts with on-call duties and a focus on procedural and surgical care, including ureteroscopy, laser lithotripsy, TURP, TURBT, and cystoscopy. Cerner EMR is used for charting.

Qualifications

• Active Arizona medical license or IMLC LOQ.
• DEA license required.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in urology.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient urology coverage and respond to call needs.
• Perform urologic surgeries and procedures.
• Evaluate and manage patients with urologic conditions.
• Provide procedural and surgical care, including ureteroscopy, laser lithotripsy, TURP, TURBT, and flexible cystoscopy.

Job description

Schedule & Coverage

• November 21: 8:00 AM–8:00 AM (24-hour shift)
• November 22: 8:00 AM–8:00 AM (24-hour shift)
• 24-hour call coverage.
• Average callback time: approximately 2–6hours per day.
• Approximately 3–4 surgeries per week.

Clinical Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient urology coverage and respond to call needs.
• Perform urologic surgeries and procedures.
• Evaluate and manage patients with urologic conditions.
• Provide procedural and surgical care, including:
  • Ureteroscopy
  • Laser lithotripsy
  • TURP
  • TURBT
  • Flexible cystoscopy

Preferred Procedures:

• TRUS biopsy
• In-clinic vasectomy

Facility Details

• 99-bed acute care hospital.
• Adult Level IV Trauma Center.
• Robotic surgical technology available;experience with robotics is not required.
• Disposable flexible cystoscopes available.
