compensation is $140 per hour with a PM shift (3:00 PM–1:00 AM). The role requires active California NP/PA license, DEA, ACLS/ATLS, and trauma/surgical experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Active California NP or PA license.
• Active DEA registration.
• ACLS and ATLS certifications.
• Trauma surgery or acute care surgery experience strongly preferred.
• Cerner Care B EMR experience.

Responsibilities

• Obtain patient histories and perform physical examinations; develop assessments and diagnoses and initiate or modify treatment plans within scope of practice.
• Manage trauma/surgical patients, including ongoing evaluation, treatment and coordination of care.
• Order and interpret diagnostic studies, labs and imaging as appropriate.
• Provide first/second surgical assist under supervision of an approved physician.
• Assist with robotic-assisted surgery as trained.
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatment plans and ongoing care.

We are seeking an experienced Locums Trauma Surgery Nurse Practitioner orPhysician Assistant to provide coverage in Redding, California. Thisopportunity offers a hands-on role in trauma and surgical patient care withresponsibilities that include patient assessment, procedural care, surgicalassisting, and collaboration with the supervising physician andmultidisciplinary care team.

Compensation: $140 Per Hour

Schedule

• Shift: PM Shift
• Hours: 3:00 PM–1:00AM

Responsibilities

• Obtain patienthistories, perform physical examinations, develop assessments anddiagnoses, and initiate or modify treatment plans within scope of practice
• Manage traumaand surgical patients, including ongoing evaluation, treatment, andcoordination of care
• Order andinterpret diagnostic studies, laboratory testing, imaging, and therapeuticservices as appropriate
• Recognize andrespond to urgent or emergent clinical situations and initiate life-savingtreatment when necessary
• Perform andassist with bedside and surgical procedures within credentialed privileges
• Provide patientand family education regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, medications,and ongoing care
• Facilitateadmissions, referrals, discharge planning, and coordination withappropriate healthcare facilities and community resources
• Prescribe andadminister medications and medical devices as permitted by state law andscope of practice
• Completeaccurate and timely medical documentation in the electronic medical record
• Provide firstor second surgical assist under the supervision of an approved supervisingphysician
• Assist withrobotic-assisted surgery as a bedside assistant, when appropriatelycredentialed and trained

• Superficialwound debridement and wound closure
• Basicmanagement of non-displaced fractures
• Fracturereduction with minimal to moderate displacement
• Reduction ofsimple dislocations
• Removal ofsuperficial foreign bodies
• Hemostasis andpacking placement/removal
• Incision anddrainage
• Cervical spineclearance
• Chest tubeinsertion and removal
• Arterial lineinsertion
• Central lineinsertion
• Partial-thicknessburn management involving less than 10% of body surface area
