• Varying shifts -- nights, swings, days, with weekend and holiday coverage
• 2 - 3 patients per hour, newborn to geriatric age range
• High acuity patients -- ESI 1 - 5
• Emergency procedures -- codes, conscious sedation, airway management
• EMR: Epic
• Intubation, cricothyrotomy, and ultrasound guided central lines required
