Job description

We are seeking a Locums Board-Certified Pediatric Hospitalist for a locums opportunity in Towson, Maryland. This role involves comprehensive inpatient pediatric care, ED consults, and well-baby nursery coverage with 12-hour shifts available 7 days a week. There are no on-call requirements, and the hospital features a 20-bed Level III NICU with 24/7 neonatology coverage.

Position Highlights:

• Shift Schedule:
• 12-hour shifts: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM or 8:00 PM – 8:00 AM
• Coverage available 7 days a week
• No on-call responsibilities

Responsibilities:

• Provide inpatient care in the pediatric unit and after-hours pediatric ED beds
• Cover and round on pediatric inpatients
• Manage the well-baby nursery
• Serve as backup for deliveries when needed
• Perform ED consultations
• Collaborate with the Level III NICU team as appropriate (NICU is separately staffed 24/7)

Facility Overview:

• 5-bed pediatric inpatient unit
• 5-bed pediatric after-hours unit located within the pediatric department
• 20-bed Level III NICU with 24/7 neonatology coverage
• Fully supported by pediatric nursing and ancillary services

Requirements:
