Job description

We are seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Pediatric Hospitalist for a locum tenens opportunity in Glen Burnie, MD. The provider will work 12-hour shifts covering a mix of inpatient pediatrics, a Level II nursery, and the pediatric emergency department. Responsibilities include managing high-risk deliveries for infants 32 weeks and above, neonatal resuscitation, and various pediatric procedures. The Pediatric Hospitalist will provide 24/7 coverage for the Family Birthing Unit, which includes a Level II nursery, a 10-bed pediatric unit, and a 4-bed Pediatric Emergency Department. Key responsibilities involve attending high-risk deliveries, performing neonatal resuscitation, and managing pediatric inpatient cases. The provider is expected to perform procedures such as intubation, arterial puncture, lumbar puncture, umbilical vein catheterization, and pediatric resuscitation. Working closely with a multidisciplinary team, the hospitalist will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to newborns and pediatric patients.

Qualifications:

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics
  • Active Maryland medical license or IMLC in hand
  • Current DEA license
  • Certifications: BLS, PALS, CSR (if applicable)
  • Local candidates only
