Job summary

CompHealth is seeking a Surgical First Assistant to support operating room teams across OR, ICU, step-down, and clinic settings. You will work a Mon–Fri schedule with a 1:2 call rotation and assist with procedures in busy surgical services.

The role includes OR coverage with weekend rounds and 1–2 surgeries per day, typically 6–7 patients. Housing and travel are complimentary, and licensing/malpractice costs are covered.

Responsibilities

• Mon - Fri schedule with 1:2 call rotation
• OR coverage with weekend hospital rounds
• 1 - 2 surgeries per day; 6 - 7 patients
• Practice settings -- OR, ICU, stepdown, and clinic
• Surgical First Assist required
• EVH required -- Hemopro experience preferred
• RAH experience preferred
• Placement/removal of chest tubes and central lines
