Job summary

CT Assist is seeking a Nurse Practitioner Cardiovascular/Cardiothoracic Surgery for a locum tenens role in Fargo, North Dakota. The assignment covers 40 hours per week with 8-hour shifts, starting 11/30/2026 for 13 weeks, including weeknight and weekend call (1:2).

Candidates must have 5+ years of CTS/CV surgery or CVICU case volume, EVH and First Assist skills, and Epic EMR proficiency. Competitive hourly pay and full benefits are offered.

Qualifications

5+ years of cardiothoracic/cardiovascular surgery or CVICU case volume experience.
Weeknight and weekend call, 1:2 rotation.
CABG, Valve Replacement/Repair, TAVR; no transplant, thoracic, or vascular cases.
Certified by The Joint Commission

Responsibilities

Care for cardiothoracic patients in a hospital setting.
Assist in CABG, valve procedures, TAVR and related perioperative care.
Coordinate with surgical teams and ICU staff.
Utilize EMR: Epic for documentation and orders.
