Job summary

The ideal candidate will have recent neonatal experience, be comfortable managing NICU patients in a high-acuity setting, and hold an active Michigan license with current NRP certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• Active Michigan license.
• Neonatal experience required.
• Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required.
• Experience working in a Level II/III/IV NICU preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment and neonatal critical care skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive neonatal care in a Level III NICU.
• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage critically ill and premature newborns.
• Participate in daily rounding and multidisciplinary care planning.
• Manage admissions, consultations, and discharges within the NICU.
• Collaborate closely with neonatologists, nursing staff, respiratory therapists, and ancillary services.
• Respond to changes in patient condition and initiate appropriate interventions.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Epic.
• Average of 10–12 patients per APP per day.

  • Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30PM
  • Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30AM
• Weekend Coverage: Required
• On-Call Requirements: None
