Job description

We are seeking a Locums Hospital Medicine Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide night shift coverage in Terre Haute, IN. This position follows a 7-on, 7-off schedule, with shifts running from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM in a hospital-based setting. The provider will be responsible for delivering high-quality hospital medicine care to patients during overnight hours. Duties include conducting patient assessments, developing treatment plans, and managing acute and chronic conditions. The role requires collaboration with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Additional responsibilities include responding to rapid responses, codes, and urgent medical situations as needed. The provider will also be responsible for admissions, evaluations, and clinical documentation in alignment with hospital protocols.

Requirements
  • Active Indiana state license (or willingness to obtain).
  • Board Certification as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA).
  • ACLS and BLS certifications required.
  • Experience in hospital medicine, inpatient care, or critical care preferred.
