Job summary

Global Medical Staffing is seeking a board-certified surgeon to cover urgent ED cases in Oklahoma City. The role requires laparoscopic surgery experience, 24-hour call coverage with a 30-minute response time, and the ability to handle a mix of general and emergent cases including laparotomy, appendectomy, and cholecystectomy.

Robotic surgery capability is available on-site, and some calls may involve surgical cases.

Qualifications

• Ability to handle general surgical cases encountered in ED.
• Willingness to cover 24-hour call with fast response times.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24-hour call coverage with a 30-minute response time.
• Handle ED calls, with some cases requiring surgical intervention.
• Participate in procedures such as laparotomy, appendectomy, cholecystectomy, and bowel obstruction.
• I&D and port placements may be encountered; robotic capability available on-site.
