Job summary

Weatherby Healthcare is seeking an inpatient gastroenterologist to provide locum tenens coverage in the High Point, NC area. The role includes weekday coverage from 7 am–5 pm with weekend call once per month and a 1:4 call ratio.

Procedures include upper GI endoscopy, colonoscopy, PEG, and sigmoidoscopy. ERCP/EUS not required. Travel, housing, and malpractice are prepaid; assignments are posted in the online portal.

Qualifications

• Inpatient gastroenterology experience is required.
• Proficiency in upper GI endoscopy and colonoscopy.
• Ability to manage call coverage and patient flow.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient gastroenterology coverage as assigned.
• Perform endoscopic procedures (EGD/colonoscopy) as required.
• Coordinate with scheduling for weekday and weekend shifts.
