Job description

We are seeking experienced and highly skilled Board-Certified CRNAs to provide locum tenens coverage at two locations in the Pittsburgh, PA area. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative anesthesia care team in a busy, community-oriented setting offering a wide variety of surgical cases.

Practice Scope & Responsibilities

  • Provide anesthesia care for a wide variety of adult surgical procedures
  • Administer anesthesia independently and in collaboration with anesthesiologists and surgical teams
  • Participate in pre-anesthesia assessments, intraoperative anesthetic management, and post-anesthesia care
  • Rotate coverage between two Pittsburgh-area locations
  • Perform approximately 4–5 cases per room per day
  • Cases begin promptly at 7:30 AM daily

Typical Case Types

  • Orthopedic: Total knees, total hips
  • Breast Surgery: Breast reductions
  • Urology: Community urology procedures
  • Vascular: Fem-pop bypass
  • General Surgery: Laparoscopic cholecystectomy, appendectomy, hernia repairs
  • Spine Surgery: Multilevel laminectomies
  • ENT: Thyroidectomy
  • Gastroenterology: Colonoscopy, EGD, ERCP

Schedule

  • Monday–Friday, cases start at 7:30 AM
  • Estimated 4–5 cases per OR/day
  • No call, no weekends (unless specified otherwise based on need)

Certification & Licensing Requirements

  • Board Certified CRNA
  • Active Pennsylvania CRNA license (or ability to obtain prior to start)
  • ACLS (AHA certified)
  • BLS (AHA certified)
  • PALS (AHA certified)
  • CPR certification
