Job description

We are seeking a highly skilledCertified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) for a locum tenens opportunity inAltoona, PA. This position offers the flexibility to work 16-20 shifts permonth, with the option of scheduling blocks of 5 (8-hour) shifts or 4 (10-hour)shifts. The CRNA will primarily work in the main operating room, providinganesthesia services for a variety of surgical procedures, with a case load of3-7 cases in a row. TheCRNA will be responsible for the full scope of anesthesia care, includingpre-operative assessment, anesthesia administration, and post-operativemonitoring. The provider will work closely with surgeons and the surgical teamto ensure safe and effective anesthesia delivery. The CRNA must be comfortablemanaging a range of cases, from routine to complex, in a fast-pacedenvironment.

The case mix for thisposition includes a wide range of services such as cardiac (excluding EP, butlocums may need to handle EP cases), TAVRs, Watchman procedures, healthpediatrics, complex neuro, complex thoracic, ENT, trauma, major vascular,general and colorectal surgery, orthopedic, gynecology, IR/CT/bronch cases,plastics, urology, GI, offsite anesthesia, robotics, and general surgery.Additionally, the Altoona-employed CRNA staff handles all cardiac cases, whilelocums may be required to assist with EP cases. The CRNA will also provideservices at 17 sites, including an offsite ASC
