Job summary

Aya Locums seeks a Surgery Vascular physician for a locum role in York, PA. The assignment starts 10-09-26 for 13 weeks, with 24-hour on-call coverage and a standard 5-shift pattern from 07:00 to 09:00.

The facility is an acute care hospital; duties include a broad range of general surgeries, pre/intra/postoperative care, and collaboration with the care team. Board-certified surgery and PA license in PA are required along with ACLS.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Residency training in surgery accredited by ACGME or AOA.
• Active and unrestricted medical license in Pennsylvania; Board certification in surgery (ABS).

Responsibilities

• Perform a range of surgeries including appendectomies, hernia repairs, gallbladder removals, emergency surgeries, and upper and lower endoscopies.
• Provide preoperative, intraoperative and postoperative care.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Be on-call for emergency surgeries, such as trauma cases or unexpected complications.
• Provide consultations to patients and other medical professionals regarding surgical options and care plans.
• Provide patient education about postoperative care and follow-up requirements.
• Maintain accurate and thorough medical records.
