Job description

A 400-bed hospital in Kentucky is seeking an experienced Orthopedic Surgeon for a locum tenens assignment. The hospital’s state-of-the-art facilities support a diverse range of orthopedic cases, including trauma, joint replacement, and sports injuries. You will join a collaborative team in a Level II Trauma Center, providing crucial care to a high-volume patient load.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct elective and emergency orthopedic surgeries, including joint replacements, fractures, and reconstructive procedures.
  • Work alongside a multidisciplinary team in the OR and outpatient clinic.
  • Provide post-operative care and consultations.
  • Participate in the hospital’s orthopedic trauma call rotation.
  • Annual Patient Volume: 55,000 patients per year.
  • Shift Options: 6a-3p, 9a-6p, 12p-9p, 3p-12a, 5p-2a, 10p-7a.
  • EMR System: Medictech.
  • Scribe Coverage: Yes, scribes available to reduce administrative burden.
  • Housing and Travel: Provided for the duration of the assignment.
  • Licensing and Credentialing: Full support provided, including malpractice coverage.
