Responsibilities

  • Provide locum coverage as an OB Hospitalist.
  • Collaborate with medical staff in a Level IIIA Neonatal ICU.
  • Participate in ongoing medical education and training.

Responsibilities

Collaborating with a facility in Salem, Oregon, with an opportunity for a skilled OB Hospitalist to provide locum coverage.

About the Opening:

  • Schedule: 7a-7p or 7p-7a, 6-7 shifts per month
  • Deliveries Per Year: 3,400
  • Level IIIA Neonatal ICU
  • 26-bed mother-baby unit
  • 19-bed labor & delivery unit
  • 2 ORs, 3 triage rooms
  • EMR: Epic
  • Must be board-certified
  • Paid travel & lodging

Qualifications

  • Board Certified
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
  • National Institutes of Health (NIH)
  • Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
  • Active unencumbered physician Oregon state license
  • Graduate from a fully accredited MD or DO program
  • One year of work experience as a OB Hospitalist
  • One year of EMR experience

  • Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills.
  • Participates in relevant continuing education programs.
  • Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.
  • Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise.
  • A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.
  • Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
