Job summary

Weatherby Healthcare in Marietta, GA is seeking a locum tenens physician for 12-hour shift coverage, day and night call. The assignment includes hospital-based duties with no outpatient clinic.

The clinician will cover ED, stroke program, and inpatient consults, with beeper call and no clinic responsibilities. Travel and housing are prepaid, and malpractice insurance is provided, along with ongoing support from Weatherby consultants.

Qualifications

• 12-hour shifts with day and night call coverage
• Covers ED, stroke program, and inpatient consults
• Call only with beeper call type
• Radiologic exam interpretation, lumbar puncture, thrombolytic therapy
• EEG, EMG, NCV, evoked potentials, and nerve/muscle biopsies preferred
• Brain death exams and pain management procedures preferred
• Botox and peripheral/spinal nerve blocks preferred
• Paid malpractice insurance; pre-paid travel and housing expenses
• Assignment details and time entry in online portal

Responsibilities

• Provide radiologic exam interpretation, lumbar puncture and thrombolytic therapy as needed
• Support EEG/EMG/NCV, evoked potentials, and nerve/muscle biopsies when available
• Assist with brain death exams and pain management procedures
• Administer Botox and peripheral/spinal nerve blocks when indicated
