Job Summary

We are in search of a Locum Sleep Medicine Physician to deliver outpatient coverage. The ideal candidate will be board‑certified in Sleep Medicine, with a strong preference for dual board certification in Pulmonary Medicine. This position offers an opportunity to engage in diagnosing and managing a comprehensive range of sleep disorders within a collaborative, multidisciplinary team focused on enhancing patient health and quality of life.

This role is strictly outpatient with no inpatient duties or on‑call requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations and management of both new and established patients with diverse sleep disorders.
• Diagnose and treat conditions such as:
  • Obstructive sleep apnea and other sleep‑related breathing disorders
  • Insomnia
  • Hypersomnia
  • Restless legs syndrome
  • REM sleep behavior disorder
  • Circadian rhythm disorders and other prevalent sleep conditions
• Analyze sleep studies and perform attended polysomnography.
• Oversee positive airway pressure (PAP/CPAP/BiPAP) therapy, including monitoring treatment effectiveness and patient compliance.
• Prescribe and manage pharmacotherapy pertinent to sleep disorders.
• Order and interpret necessary diagnostic testing and coordinate durable medical equipment (DME) as required.
• Provide education to patients and families concerning sleep disorders, therapeutic options, and strategies for long‑term management.
• Collaborate with respiratory therapists, sleep technologists, primary care physicians, and specialists in pulmonology, cardiology, neurology, ENT, and more to ensure coordinated care.
• Maintain precise and timely documentation using Meditech Expanse.

Essential Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited medical school.
• Successful completion of an ACGME‑accredited residency in Internal Medicine or a related specialty.
• Board certification in Sleep Medicine.
• Dual board certification in Pulmonary Medicine is strongly preferred.
• Active medical license in New Hampshire or eligibility to obtain one.
• BLS certification is mandatory.
