Job summary

Weatherby Healthcare is assisting a California clinic with a locum tenens Urology physician to cover outpatient and procedure days. Responsibilities include frontline patient care in an outpatient clinic and performing urology procedures, with a reasonable on-call component.

The assignment supports paid malpractice, travel and housing, and access to Weatherby consultants, with a focus on maintaining high-quality patient care in a busy urology setting.

Qualifications

• Board-certified in Urology and valid medical license in California.
• Experience with outpatient clinics and procedures in a hospital or clinic setting.
• Ability to manage on-call responsibilities and emergent cases.

Responsibilities

• Perform outpatient urology procedures and clinic visits.
• Provide on-call coverage as scheduled (including weekend calls).
• Collaborate with clinic staff to coordinate patient care and scheduling.

• Clinic: 2 - 3 days/week, 8 am - 4 pm; procedure days: 1 - 2/week
• Approx. 10 days of call per month -- includes weekend call coverage
• Clinic days: 8 - 10 patients per day expected
• Procedure days: 4 - 6 procedures per day expected
• Outpatient clinic and procedure setting
• Urology surgical procedures required
• ED call coverage -- potential 1 - 2 onsite night visits per call
