Job summary

CompHealth is seeking a psychiatrist for a multi-facility assignment in Georgia. The position covers acute, sub-acute, and long-term psychiatric settings with a wide age range from children to elders. Shifts are Monday to Friday, 9 hours, with no on-call responsibilities.

The role includes administering ECT, pharmacotherapy, group and family therapy. Staff support includes complimentary housing, travel arrangements, comprehensive malpractice coverage, and a simple credentialing process handled

Qualifications

• Experience providing psychiatric care in acute/sub-acute/long-term facilities.
• Familiar with involuntary commitments, seclusion, and restraint.
• Ability to treat wide age range from pre-adolescent to geriatric.
• Experience with ECT, pharmacotherapy, group therapy, and family therapy.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychiatric evaluations and treatment plans.
• Offer ECT, pharmacotherapy, group and family therapy as required.
• Work Monday to Friday, 9-hour shifts with no on-call responsibilities.
• Navigate involuntary commitments as needed.
• Collaborate with facility teams across acute to long-term settings.

Job description

• Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5 pm (9hr shift) -- no call responsibilities
• 14 - 16 patients per shift -- follow-up to new eval ratio of 10:1
• Acute, sub-acute, and long-term psychiatric facility setting
• Wide age range -- pre-adolescent to geriatric populations
• Anxiety, affective, psychotic, personality, and eating disorders treated
• ECT, pharmacotherapy, group therapy, and family therapy required
• Familiarity with involuntary commitments, seclusion, and restraint required
• No hospital privileges required
