Job summary

Weatherby Healthcare seeks a Pediatrician for locum coverage in Virginia. The assignment includes 24-hour call shifts from 7 am to 7 am with a 30-minute response time, and beeper coverage up to 15 days per month, covering C-sections, ED consults, transfers, and inpatient rounding.

Certification in UVC/NRP/PALS is required; additional skills such as intubation, central lines, and ventilation management are preferred. Weatherby offers malpractice coverage, travel/housing, and ongoing support.

Qualifications

• UVC, NRP and PALS certifications required.
• Experience with neonatal procedures desirable.
• Willingness to cover high-demand shifts and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24-hour call coverage (7 am–7 am) with 30-minute response time.
• Beeper call coverage up to 15 days per month.
• C-section coverage, ED consults, transfers, and inpatient rounding.
• See all babies born, inpatient and outpatient rounding.
• Vacation coverage as needed.
