Job summary

Weatherby Healthcare is assisting with a locum tenens GI surgical pathology assignment in Madison, Wisconsin. The position requires GI surgical pathology sign-out (pancreas and liver excluded) with approximately 175 GI cases per week and 9 am–5 pm scheduling plus call coverage for about seven weeks per year.

The multi-hospital system offers frozen section coverage across sites and telepathology consultations with subspecialty pathologists; travel and housing are prepaid, and a Weatherby

Qualifications

• GI surgical pathology sign-out experience is required.
• Frozen section skills preferred.
• Knowledge of blood/body fluids is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Sign-out GI surgical pathology (pancreas and liver excluded).
• Provide frozen section coverage across multiple sites.
• Engage in telepathology consultations with subspecialists.
• Handle about 175 GI cases per week.
• Work 9 am–5 pm with call coverage ~7 weeks per year.
• Maintain assignments and time entries in the online portal.
