Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform surgical pathology evaluations with routine specimens.
• Review cytology samples and conduct frozen sections as needed.
• Handle peripheral smears and blood bank reviews as part of daily workload.
• Work in a hospital setting with physician privileges.

• Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5 pm
• Surgical volumes -- approx. 4,000 per year
• Cytology -- approx. 1,000 per year
• Frozen sections and rapid on-site assessments -- fewer than 10/week
• Peripheral smears -- approx. 5 per week
• Blood bank reviews -- fewer than 1 per week
• Hospital setting -- privileges required
• General surgical pathology skills required
