Job summary

Weatherby Healthcare is seeking an experienced neurosurgery specialist for a 10-day, 24-hour call shift assignment in Johnstown, PA.

You will round on 10-12 inpatients daily, handle 3-4 new patient consults, and treat adult trauma cases requiring tumors, spinal surgery, VP shunts, and stereotactic radiosurgery.

Weatherby provides paid malpractice insurance, prepaid travel and housing, plus ongoing support from a Weatherby consultant; charter member of NALTO.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24-hour call shifts on a 10-day assignment.
• Round on 10-12 inpatients daily.
• Perform 3-4 new patient consults per day.
• Treat adult trauma patients; pediatric and neonate not required.
• Handle general neurosurgery cases including tumors, spinal surgery, VP shunt.
• Perform stereotactic radiosurgery and peripheral nerve surgery as required.
• Place ICP monitors and assist with external traction.
• Ongoing locum support dates may be available.
• Provide paid malpractice insurance; prepaid travel and housing expenses.
• Manage assignment details and time entry in the online portal.
