Job summary

Weatherby Healthcare is seeking a gastroenterologist for a hospital-based locum tenens assignment in Virginia. The role includes performing upper GI endoscopy with biopsy, varices banding/injection, esophageal dilation, and potential ERCP.

Convenience and support are provided by Weatherby throughout the assignment. The schedule is Monday to Friday, 7 am to 5 pm with on-call responsibilities after hours and weekends.

Qualifications

• Upper GI endoscopy with biopsy required.
• Varices banding and injection required.
• Esophageal dilation required.
• ERCP preferred.
• Hospital-based position with privileges required.

Responsibilities

• Provide upper GI endoscopy with biopsy.
• Perform varices banding and injection as needed.
• Conduct esophageal dilation as part of patient care.
• Work in a hospital-based setting with standard consults and admissions.
