Job summary

Weatherby Healthcare is seeking a gastroenterologist for a Rapid City assignment. You will cover both outpatient and inpatient gastroenterology care with a schedule that includes hospital hours and a clinic day. Procedures include endoscopy, ERCP, EUS, and other GI interventions.

Ideal candidates manage 10–12 clinic patients daily, with support for travel and housing, and malpractice coverage provided by Weatherby. Assignment details are coordinated via the Weatherby consultant.

Qualifications

• Outpatient and inpatient care experience required.
• Proficiency with GI endoscopic procedures listed above is expected.
• Ability to manage a busy clinic schedule (10–12 patients/day).

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient and inpatient gastroenterology care as assigned.
• Perform upper GI endoscopy, colonoscopy and related procedures.
• Coordinate care and documentation in the online portal.

Job description

• Mon - Fri, 7 am - 5 pm hospital hours; clinic 8 am - 5 pm 1 day/week
• 10 - 12 patients per day in clinic
• Outpatient and inpatient care required
• Upper GI endoscopy, colonoscopy, PEG placement, esophageal dilation
• ERCP (diagnostic & therapeutic) and endoscopic ultrasound required
• Small bowel biopsy and esophageal manometry also required
• Paid malpractice insurance; pre-paid travel and housing expenses
