Qualifications

• Be prepared for a 20 minute response time to beeper calls.
• Call ratio: 1:2 with an average of 4-5 phone consults, patients seen, and admissions per 24 hours.
• Both inpatient rounding and call coverage are included.
• Extensive CV/thoracic surgery skills required — open and endoscopic.
• TAVR, CABG, LVAD, valve repair/replacement, and lung resection may be required.
• Congenital defect repair and aneurysm repair skills may be required.
• Bronchoscopy and vent management skills may be required.
