Job summary

CompHealth in Duluth, MN seeks a cardiothoracic surgeon with extensive CV/thoracic surgery skills. In this role you will handle beeper calls, inpatient rounds, and 24-hour coverage while performing complex procedures including TAVR, CABG, LVAD, valve repair/replacement, and lung resections. Bronchoscopy and vent management are required; housing and travel are arranged.

Qualifications

• Extensive CV/thoracic surgery skills required, including open and endoscopic procedures.
• Experience with TAVR, CABG, LVAD, valve repair/replacement, and lung resection.
• Ability to perform congenital defect repair and aneurysm repair.
• Bronchoscopy and ventilator management proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Beeper call with 20 minute response time.
• Call coverage ratio 1:2.
• Inpatient rounds and call coverage included.
• Access to online portal for assignment details and time entry.

• Beeper call -- 20 minute response time required
• Call ratio: 1:2
• Avg 4 - 5 phone consults, patients seen, and admissions per 24 hrs
• Both inpatient rounding and call coverage included
• Extensive CV/thoracic surgery skills required -- open and endoscopic
• TAVR, CABG, LVAD, valve repair/replacement, and lung resection required
• Congenital defect repair and aneurysm repair skills required
• Bronchoscopy and vent management skills required
