Job summary

CompHealth is recruiting for cardiology locum tenens assignments in California, offering substantial patient coverage and flexible scheduling. This position involves inpatient and ER cardiology work within a community hospital, with collaboration alongside hospitalists and specialists on complex cases.

CompHealth handles credentialing, housing, travel, and malpractice coverage, while paying on a weekly basis.

Responsibilities

• 24hr call coverage with shifts from 6 am to 6 am and average 7–9 hour callback
• Average 3–4 consults, 4–8 stress tests, 5–12 echos per day
• Inpatient and ER cardiology call in a community hospital setting
• Collaborate with hospitalists and specialists on cardiology cases
• Consults, stress test supervision, echo and Holter interpretation
• TEE preferred; transvenous pacing and tilt table optional
• Ongoing coverage potential each month
• We arrange complimentary housing and travel and provide comprehensive malpractice coverage
• Credentialing and privileging process is streamlined
• Access to an online portal for assignment details and time entry
• Specialized recruiter handles all details
