Job summary

CompHealth is seeking an experienced cardiology locum tenens physician in Baton Rouge to manage outpatient and inpatient duties in a busy cardiac program. The assignment emphasizes non-invasive cardiology with outpatient panels and inpatient rounds on a rotating schedule.

The role requires fellowship and board certification in cardiology, plus ACLS. Housing and travel are arranged, malpractice coverage is provided, and a dedicated recruiter handles all credentialing and time-entry steps.

Qualifications

• Fellowship and board certification in cardiology required.
• ACLS certification required.
• Minimum 3 weeks per month commitment for a long-term ongoing role.
• Inpatient ICU experience and outpatient clinic exposure preferred.
• Non-invasive cardiology; no cath/EP/interventional procedures required.

Responsibilities

• Clinic-based panel of patients in outpatient cardiology setting.
• Hospital rotation every 5–6 weeks with inpatient rounding and consults.
• Monday–Friday, 8 am–5 pm clinic schedule.
• Credentialing and privileging simplified; access to online portal for assignment details.
