Job summary

Weatherby Healthcare is seeking a cardiologist for a Baton Rouge, LA assignment. The role includes inpatient rounding, consultations, and multidisciplinary rounds, plus an outpatient clinic panel and care coordination.

The schedule is Mon–Fri, 8 am–5 pm with a minimum 3 weeks per month commitment. Non-invasive cardiology, echocardiography, TEE, and nuclear cardiology are required, with ACLS certification essential. Weatherby covers travel, housing, and malpractice, with consultant support.

Qualifications

• ACLS certification is required and ongoing.
• Experience in cardiology settings with inpatient/outpatient care.
• Ability to coordinate patient care across teams.

Responsibilities

• Inpatient rounding, consultations, and multidisciplinary rounds.
• Outpatient clinic panel and inpatient care coordination.
• Maintain 24-hour access to Weatherby consultant for assignment support.

Job description

• Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5 pm with min. 3 weeks per month commitment


• Hospital rotation every 5 - 6 weeks with one weekly clinic reading day


• Inpatient rounding, consultations, and multidisciplinary rounds required


• Outpatient clinic panel plus inpatient care coordination responsibilities


• Non-invasive cardiology -- echocardiography, TEE, and nuclear cardiology required


• STEMI and ACLS certification required


• Long-term ongoing commitment desired
