Job summary

Palm Health in Dallas, TX is seeking experienced pediatric acute care nurse practitioners to join a new pediatric ICU unit on a locum basis. 13-week assignments with a possible extension to 26 weeks will help us grow the team and better serve our pediatric patients.

Candidates must have at least one year of pediatric critical care APP experience and hold an ACNP certification or be an experienced PA. Texas license is required; compensation is $100–$115 per hour on a 1099 basis with lodging,

Qualifications

• Shift options include 24-hour shifts or 12-hour shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide care in PICU across medical, surgical, and asthma/ingestion episodes.
• Perform lumbar punctures and assist with line placements as needed.
• Ventilator management using Servo, LTV, and Trilogy devices.

Job description

Palm Health is hiring experienced pediatric acute care nurse practitioners in Beautiful Dallas, TX!

We are hiring for 13-weeks to start but will be open to 26-week commitment for sure!

You will be part of our team growth as we open up a new unit to better serve our pediatric population in the area. You will be working in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit providing support in our medical icu, surgical icu, and asthmatic, ingestions. The candidate must have at least one year of pediatric critical care advanced practice provider experience. Well rounded job summary with an exceptional team!

The candidate would be routinely performing Lumbar Punctures, femoral central venous line placement, peripheral arterial line placement, as well as ventilator management experience. – Servo ventilators, LTV, and Trilogy vents are the vents the candidate would use. Candidate must be an Acute Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioner certification or experienced Physician Assistant.

Start Date: September 2024

End Date: 13 weeks (option to extend)

Texas License is required!!

Shift: Locums will be schedule for 24 hour shifts!! or 12s!! Or combination!!

Looking for minimum of 3-4 shifts monthly, more if available!!

ICU Unit: 6-8 beds
