Job summary

CompHealth currently seeks a hospital-based pathology locum tenens in Fayetteville, NC to cover a busy daily case load and a broad range of specimen types.

Responsibilities include interpretation of GI, GYN, skin, prostate, bladder, breast and lung biopsies, plus major resections such as Whipple and nephrectomy. Hospital privileges are required, and credentialing is streamlined with our recruiter guidance.

Qualifications

• Hospital privileges required.
• Daytime schedule with weekly rotating call.
• Experience in surgical pathology and cytology is advantageous.
• Ability to manage a high-volume daily case load.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate GI, GYN, skin, prostate, bladder, breast and lung biopsies.
• Perform major resections pathology assessments (e.g., Whipple, nephrectomy, prostatectomy).
• Review peripheral blood smears and coordinate with surgical teams.
• Navigate credentialing, privileging and time-entry processes.
