Job summary

MD Staff Pointe is assisting a Michigan hospital with orthopedic locum tenens coverage. The assignment is in Northern Michigan, inpatient, Level III trauma, with a 7a to 7a schedule and 24-hour call as needed. No spine cases are expected, and cases include fractures, sports injuries, and general ortho.

The surgeon must be MI licensed or IMLC and Board Certified. Travel expenses, malpractice coverage, and credentialing are handled on your behalf by the client.

Qualifications

• MI license or IMLC required for practice.
• Board certification in Orthopedic Surgery is mandatory.
• Inpatient hospital setting with Level III trauma experience desired.

Responsibilities

• Provide orthopedic locum coverage in the hospital; on-call ED consultations as requested.
• Manage typical ortho cases (fractures, sports, general) with no spine cases.
• Travel, credentialing, and malpractice coverage arranged by agency.

Location: Northern MI Facility: 100-bed Hospital Schedule: 7a - 7a, 24-hour call only Practice Details: general ortho.

The Surgeon will only have to come in if the Emergency Department requests a consultation.

Typically bread and butter cases, sick or complicated patients are shipped.

Types of cases include fractures, sports, general, etc. No Spine.

Orthopedic PA's, full surgical staff, completely digital radiology department Setting: Inpatient, hospital, Level III Trauma Must be MI licensed or IMLC and Board Certified
