Job description

Position Title: Optometrist

Coveraj Justification: Addressing a staffing shortage during recruitment.

Coverage Duration: Immediate start for a period of 3 months, with potential for extension.

Work Environment: Clinic setting.

Schedule: Tuesday to Saturday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, inclusive of a 1-hour lunch break; total of 40 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct routine eye examinations and contact lens fittings.
• Manage eye urgent care and emergencies, encompassing medical optometry and treatment of red eye cases.
• Provide services for patients aged 4 years and above, with a high frequency of pupil dilation.
• Experience with glaucoma management is preferred; however, surgical procedures are not part of this role.
• Familiarity with specialty contacts is advantageous but not mandatory.

On-Call Duties:

No on-call responsibilities.

Patient Care Metrics:

Estimated patient load of 18 scheduled patients per day.

Team Composition:

The optometrist will have full support from a dedicated administrative and clinical team.

Electronic Medical Records System:

EPIC.

Credentialing Timeline:

Anticipated to take approximately 60 days from application submission.

Certification Requirements:
