About The Position
A skilled Occupational Medicine Nurse Practitioner is sought for a 65-day locum tenens assignment at an Occupational/On-Site Clinic in Iowa. Starting on 06/09/2025, this opportunity offers a consistent Monday to Friday schedule from 9 am to 5 pm. The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing a variety of work-related injuries and illnesses, including lacerations, musculoskeletal injuries, and crush injuries. Responsibilities include conducting initial and follow-up evaluations, return to work assessments, fit for duty evaluations, and post-offer/pre-placement examinations. The role also involves providing primary health care for acute and episodic conditions. Proficiency with Cority EMR is preferred. This position offers the potential for extension beyond the initial assignment period.

Responsibilities and Duties:
• Evaluate and treat work-related injuries and illnesses
• Perform initial and follow-up assessments for various conditions, including lacerations, musculoskeletal injuries, and crush injuries
• Conduct return to work evaluations
• Carry out fit for duty assessments
• Complete post-offer and pre-placement examinations
• Provide primary health care for acute and episodic conditions
• Utilize Cority EMR for patient documentation and case management
• Collaborate with employers and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care
• Adhere to all clinic policies and procedures
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of occupational health regulations and best practices
Additional Information:
• Must be licensed to practice in Iowa
• Familiarity with Cority EMR is preferred
• Experience in occupational medicine or related field is highly desirable
