77 consultants is seeking a skilled Locum MD in Manning, South Carolina, to provide high-quality surgical care. You will collaborate with nursing staff to ensure compassionate patient journeys, perform surgical procedures, and optimize patient outcomes.

This on-site role requires an MD or equivalent, strong communication skills, and valid medical licensure in South Carolina. Board certification in General Surgery is preferred. The position includes 24-hour call shifts and offers paid travel and expenses.

You'll collaborate closely with nursing staff and other medical professionals to ensure a seamless and compassionate patient journey. This role is pivotal in our efforts to enhance healthcare delivery in our community.

Responsibilities

• Perform surgical procedures as per established protocols
• Evaluate and manage patient pre-operative and post-operative care
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Document all patient interactions and treatment plans effectively
• Participate in clinical meetings and case discussions
• Adhere to hospital policies and procedures for patient safety and quality care
• Provide educational resources to patients and families regarding surgical procedures
• Stay current with advancements in surgical practices and techniques

Requirements

• MD or equivalent degree in Medicine
• Valid medical license to practice in the state
• Board certification in General Surgery preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

• Knowledge of current surgical techniques and procedures

Schedule: 24-hour call shifts, specific dates

Must be comfortable with all aspects of general surgeries, upper/lower endoscopies, and basic laparoscopies
