This on‑site contract position offers a unique opportunity to provide high-quality surgical care in a collaborative environment within the Medical Practice industry.

As a Locum General Surgeon, you will be instrumental in delivering comprehensive surgical services, ensuring patient safety and satisfaction. Your role will involve working closely with a skilled team to address a variety of surgical needs, enhancing patient outcomes through effective interventions and follow‑ups.

Responsibilities

• Perform a range of surgical procedures in accordance with established protocols
• Provide pre‑operative and post‑operative care for patients
• Collaborate with nursing and support staff to ensure quality patient care
• Conduct patient consultations to assess surgical needs
• Document all patient interactions accurately and timely
• Stay updated on surgical best practices and technological advancements
• Participate in team meetings to discuss cases and treatment strategies
• Foster a positive and professional relationship with patients and their families
• Provide ED and inpatient coverage, address practice‑related clinical needs, and perform trauma and general surgery procedures

Requirements

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical institution
• Associate‑level experience in General Surgery
• Active medical license in the state of practice
• Strong surgical skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Adept at working collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
• Commitment to providing patient‑centered care
• Emergency response and critical care experience is a plus
• Must be board‑certified
• ATLS & BLS required
• DEA preferred

Schedule and Work Environment

• Level III Tramua Center
• 24-hour call shiftsspecific dates
• Duties: Provide ED and inpatient coverage, address practice‑related clinical needs, and perform trauma and general surgery procedures
• Required Procedures:Basic call and trauma cases
• Support Staff: RNs & OR staff
• EMR: Epic
